The Tudor Legacy: How Henry VIII and His Court Forever Changed English History, Design & Culture
This lecture will provide a broad sweep of all five Tudor monarchs, encompassing their loves, personalities, art, architecture, and literature, all of which have come down to us today in many and surprising ways. In spite of their extreme shortcomings, there wouldn’t be an England today without the Tudors.
1:15 P.M.- Luncheon
3:00 P.M.- Optional Excursion: Exclusive Visit to Christie’s
One of the great British auction houses, Christie’s was founded in London by James Christie in 1766 and remains today a showcase for the unique and beautiful.
