Extension Tour Price

Land Package: $2,695
Single Supplement: $395

Main Tour Price is per person, based on double occupancy, with a minimum of 12 paying participants. Extension Price is per person, based on double occupancy, with a minimum of 8 paying participants.

Moderate; good walking ability is advised.

Flights

Airfare is not included in the tour price. Participants are responsible for all aspects of their round-trip air arrangements. Please do not purchase airline tickets until the operation of the tour is confirmed.

Terms & Conditions

This program is co-sponsored by The National Trust for Scotland Foundation USA (“NTSUSA”) and operated by International Seminar Design, Inc. (“ISDI”). ISDI requires that all tour participants be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to participate on the tour. Upon receipt of registration, ISDI will send registrant a Participant Tour Agreement detailing the full terms and conditions for this tour. This document must be signed and returned to ISDI before participant’s registration is considered complete and any arrangements can be confirmed.

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation by participant must be made in writing to NEHGS and is effective only upon acknowledged receipt by NEHGS. There is a non-refundable registration and planning fee of $500 per person regardless of cancellation date. Written cancellation received by NEGHS on or before June 10, 2022: refund of all monies paid minus $500 per person registration and planning fee for the Main Tour and a $250 registration and planning fee for the Optional Extension. Written cancellation received by NEHGS between June 11 and August 5, 2022: refund of all monies paid minus $2,200 per person cancellation fee for the Main Tour and $1,200 for the Optional Extension (includes registration and planning fee). Written cancellations received by NEHGS on or after August 6, 2022: no refund. Tour registration is non-transferable. In the case of cancellation, substitutions are not allowed. After the tour has commenced, no refunds will be issued for any reason including, but not limited to, unused portions of tour. If the tour is cancelled by NEHGS or ISDI due to low enrollment, active registrants will receive a full refund of all tour payments.

Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance is not included in the tour cost, but participants are strongly encouraged to purchase a travel protection plan in conjunction with this tour, including coverage of trip cancellation, trip interruption, emergency evacuation/repatriation, medical expenses, lost or damaged baggage, and other expenses and/or losses incurred due to unexpected situations. Should a participant cancel at any time after registering for the tour, NEHGS and ISDI must strictly abide by the cancellation policy outlined herein. Travel insurance information will be sent upon tour registration.

Main Tour Price Inclusions

2 nights’ accommodation at the Cabot Links Resort, Inverness; 2 nights' accommodation at The Prince George Hotel, Halifax; breakfast daily, 3 lunches, 3 cocktail receptions, 3 dinners; 1 group transfer upon arrival at Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) and 1 group transfer upon departure to YHZ.

Extension Tour Price Inclusions

3 nights’ accommodation at The Great George, Charlottetown; breakfast daily, 3 lunches, 1 cocktail reception, 2 dinners; 1 group transfer upon departure to the Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ).

Both Main & Extension Tour Price Inclusions

1 cocktail and 1 glass of beer or wine at included pre-dinner receptions; 2 glasses of wine or beer at included dinners; all sightseeing and admission charges as outlined in the itinerary; land transportation by deluxe air- conditioned coach; bottled water on coach; leadership of David Allen Lambert for duration of the tour; services of Cy Britt, Director of Heritage Tours, NEHGS, and Kirstin Bridier, Executive Director of the National Trust for Scotland Foundation USA, as tour managers; expert, local guides for all planned sightseeing activities; gratuities at included meals and for guides and drivers; handling of 2 pieces of luggage per person upon arrival and departure at each hotel; service charges and taxes; complete pre-departure documentation and materials, including reading list, travel tips, and destination information.

Both Main & Extension Tour Price Exclusions

Airline tickets, airline taxes, or fuel surcharges; airport porterage; transfers to and from the airport for individuals not using the included group transfers; gratuities for hotel cleaning staff; personal items such as wines, liquors, a`-la- carte orders, meals other than those specified in the itinerary, personal services, room service, valet/laundry service, and tour deviations. If due to weather, flight schedules, or other uncontrollable factors, you are required to spend any additional nights, you will be responsible for your own hotel, transfer, and meal costs. Personal insurance for health, baggage, and tour cancellation is not included.
